The Prairie Heritage Project was founded with the belief that food brings people together-and together we can support healing. Through fundraising dinners and nonprofit partnerships, we aim to make a tangible impact on families across our region.
"A restaurant can be more than a place to eat-it can be a table where healing begins, stories are shared, and a new heritage is written for our community"
Adverse Childhood Events (ACES)-such as abuse, neglect, and household trauma-don't just affect childhood. Left unaddressed, they ripple through a person's life, impacting health, relationships, and economic stability. But there is hope: by addressing them, we can interrupt the cycle of trauma and change the heritage of an entire community. We have amazing non-profits in the community working tirelessly to help address these issues and our goal is to life them up through this collaboration. Addressing ACES doesn't just help individuals-it strengthens families, towns, and the future of our region.
Nourishing Change one plate at a time
Our signature event series brings renowned and emerging chefs to 701 Eateries for exclusive one-night-only dinners. Each meal celebrates Midwest heritage through the lens of culinary artistry and raises funds for organizationsn dedicated to preventing and healing childhood abuse.
Community Starts at the table
We partner with nonprofits that support children, families, and communities affected by trauma. We cohost a dinner and advertise to make fundraising easy!
