Prairie
Heritage Project

The Prairie Heritage Project was founded with the belief that food brings people together-and together we can support healing. Through fundraising dinners and nonprofit partnerships, we aim to make a tangible impact on families across our region.

"A restaurant can be more than a place to eat-it can be a table where healing begins, stories are shared, and a new heritage is written for our community"

Changing the Story of the Midwest
Starts with Healing Its Roots

Adverse Childhood Events (ACES)-such as abuse, neglect, and household trauma-don't just affect childhood. Left unaddressed, they ripple through a person's life, impacting health, relationships, and economic stability. But there is hope: by addressing them, we can interrupt the cycle of trauma and change the heritage of an entire community.  We have amazing non-profits in the community working tirelessly to help address these issues and our goal is to life them up through this collaboration. Addressing ACES doesn't just help individuals-it strengthens families, towns, and the future of our region.

Children with Multiple Aces:

Are more likely to:
  1. Develop Heart disease, diabetes and cancer
  2. struggle with anxiety, depression substance use
  3. Struggle with learning, school attendance, job readiness, economic stability
  4. be homeless
  5. commit suicide

Every $1 invested in interventions saves $7

If you're into restaurant life, embracing the four seasons,  shopping small, nordic design, great cocktails, funny grandparents+ probably way too many videos of cooking, you've come to the right place.
